What's the goal when all is said and done?

When I played football in High School, I wasn't very good. In order to win the game, you had to score more points than the other team. My problem was that I had a different goal - hit the most people as possible on the other team not I knocked them to the ground, that was a personal point for me, regardless of where the ball was on the field. I based my goal on what I could do well, but I missed the reality of how to win the game.

This is a place for us to talk about the reality of the goal(s) of following Jesus. He calls us to make disciples.
What does that look like?

The question is theological, because we must know who it is we're following.
The question is missiological, because we must know what He calls us to do.
The question is ecclesiological, because we must know who He's calling to be on this mission.

My assumption is that we are often missing the ultimate goal - of living in the prescence of God by the work of Jesus. Making disciples means bringing people to this Savior and learning with them what He's said and done , thus getting to know Him.

This is a war. It's a war that He has won, but it's a daily fight until the end.

I invite you to use this as a place to learn together and to support one another as we fight alongside one another.

We're in the game. Let's be in it to see Him win it.
